How a Pilot Works
Every pilot runs on its own isolated coin, named after the event — separate from the real 144M SFT economy. The live trial uses shared SFT; the formal pilot deploys the event coin.
Each event mints its own coin (Nevada City → Nevada City Coin). Restricted to the cohort only. Customers get 10 free to spend at vendors; vendors get a $1 Steward test-send at onboarding, then earn coins through real sales and cash out to RLUSD.
When the pilot ends, every returned coin is burned → supply to zero. A true clean test: nothing leaks into or dilutes the real SFT economy. Multiple pilots run in parallel, each in its own sandbox.
Prove circulation, and the city graduates to its own permanent, self-named currency — bridged to the Federation through SFT, redeemable 1:1 to RLUSD. The pilot is the rehearsal; the official currency is the launch.
